Gift for my mom’s birthday / 5 year cancer-free ideas?!?
My sister and I are trying to figure out what to get for our mom,
she’s going to be turning 50 and the date is also the anniversary from when she had her breast cancer surgery, so she will also be 5 years cancer-free.
It’s a pretty big date, and we’re all planning a big surprise party, but we can’t figure out what to get her!
We always try to get her nice things, like a camera or Pandora jewelry or something, (obviously we don’t have MUCH money) but I wish we could think of something different.
Any random ideas? Thanks!
Happy Birthday to your Mom! And congrats on 5 years cancer free!! So happy for you all. A scrapbook may be a good idea. If you can get pictures of her through out her life somehow without giving it away. You could “interview” her and include her memories and thoughts and stories. You could also get stories from other members of the family to include. Or instead of making it a scrapbook of her life, you could make one of how she has affected yours, with memories and stories from you and your sister. Either way, it’s the stories and memories are what will truly make this a very special gift.
