What do I do about this bracelet I am having a real ethical dilemma right now? Please help!?
Basically I am Vegan and have been for nearly 3 years now.
But for christmas my dad bought me a leather Pandora bracelet with a fresh water pearl charm (my birth stone)!
I cannot return it because it has been too long.
It is really pretty, and my dad spent lots of money on it as a special present for me. But I am having a real ethical dilemma about wearing it. I don’t know what to do.
Part of me actually wants to keep it, but I feel dreadful about that, does that make me a really a really bad person?
What should I do
I do not drive, I walk, and I buy vegan friendly shoes.
It is near impossible to be a total vegan. Do you drive to work in a car with tires? Most people do and I think the tires have animal byproducts as do shoes oftentimes.
Don’t beat yourself up. Your dad gave it to you. Enjoy it.
The leather will wear out after awhile and you can get it replaced with metal of some sort probably.
